This was a claret color with no browning at the edges, darker than I expected, particularly given the vintage. Drinking fine, a little young even, it was fairly expressive aromatically, still retaining plenty of tannin. It probably can go a good bit longer.

So fragrant, pure Oregon pinot aromas. Perfect balance between fruit and tartness; just ripe enough to balance out the tartness. Beautiful. Better than my last bottle a year or so ago.

Some floral and red fruits on the nose, cherries and roses and a small mouth of earthiness emerging. Slightly thin and short on the palate. Not much acidity there to carry the wine. Over time it gained a bit more depth and complexity, but it still felt overall thin.
ABV: 12.9% Closure: natural cork Decant: 2h Stem: Grassl Cru Assemblage: Aged ten months in three year old French oak. Comprised of four clones from iOTA’s six estate blocks: “Pappou” & “Yiayia,” planted to Pommard, “Abino Hill” planted to Wädenswil, “Ana” & “Tonka” planted to Dijon 777 and “Oscar” planted to Dijon 667. 757 cases produced.

In a great place, cherry, tobacco, mushroom, forest floor in the aroma. Lovely dark and tart cherry fruit, nice acid, resolved tannins. Mature but can easily go several more years. I prefer this to the 2012 I had 6 months ago. It's really impressive.

Identical to the bottle a couple weeks ago. This was my last of the case. Easy repurchase for berserkerday.
Very good. Nose has a big mossy aroma, euro like. Attack is tart cherry followed by ripe raspberry. Medium plus acidity gives a elegant mouth feel. A light stem or oak plank finish with resolved tannins makes for an entertaining wine.

Very pretty wine. Love how the ‘13’s are really coming together. PnP and had a heavy tobacco finish, which I love but was a little distracting. After about 30 min tobacco resolved and was in balance. Acid driven wine with blue and some tart red fruit, tobacco and soft tannins. Good concentration, yet light on its feet. Enjoyed slowly over a few hours. Berserkers still may be able to get this.

Previous reviewer nailed the white pepper on the nose initially. Nice Pinot characteristics, good balance and long finish. Great QPR on WTSO for $20 for this level of quality. Bright cherry fruit.

PnP, translucent light to medium ruby. Nose has pine needles, lots of white pepper, cranberry and pomegranate. Bright with acidity. Palate has earthy, cranberry, strawberry and raspberry with a mineral background. Moderately long finish. Not a long term keeper but nice now and over the next few years. Great QPR on a WTSO purchase.

Dark Cherry color in glass, appeared older than other recent Pinots, but not old.
Inviting nose of muted fruit blending together. Berries with some spice overtones.
Lighter side of medium in the mouth, with berry flavors well in front of the spiciness.
Nice finish. We drank the whole bottle in one night with food. The wine complemented the mixed vegetable and bean dinner well. The flavors held up and blended well with the food, although we probably would have finished it without food as well...
Very pleasant and rewarding. The lower ratings from other posters are not supported by this bottle.
We are looking forward to the other bottles and other vintages in the near future!

3.5 Aromas and flavors of cherry, spice, bramble, and a touch of VA. Piercing acidity pierces the through the core, creating a wine meant for the table or a warm day, served at 55 degrees. Intriguing, lithe, and certainly enjoyable.

Nice, but very "astringent". Very old world and dry. Not a lot of fruit which I like.
