Opened one hour in advance. Leathery, leafy aroma. Rich flavors of black fruit, leather, some tar. Smooth licorice tinged finish. All fruit on first opening, becomes smoother, mellower, and more complex with air. Classic nebbiolo, in a great place right now with no sign of decline.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, cranberry, prune and raisin. It tastes like blackberry, prune, coffee and molasses. The body is full. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

This wine has turned a corner; it's putting on weight and showing some good bottle development and better mouthfeel. Still on it's way up--only two left, so I'll plan on not opening another until 2021.

Same as last bottle about six months ago. Great nose, bright and refreshing on the palate. Particularly works as a food wine, and it rewards being around tomatoes.

Pretty aromatics of tea and spice. Earl Grey, raspberry, and pomegranate on the palate--no tar yet, but just around the corner. Excellent acidity. Drinks well now without prior decant.

Bottle #3 of 3. Decanted 2 hours. Superb. Beautiful fragrance. Everything I would want in a young Barbaresco, and amazingly accessible, with no loss of quality.

We enjoyed this with a big steak. It paired so extremely well. Clearly old world from boutique and taste. Classic Italian. The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine has low acidity.

This is a wine to die for. Magnificent wine Be certain to give it at least two hours in the decanter. Upon initial opening it's very closed, but after about two hours it opens up wonderfully. An incredible bouquet. I think it is still a bit young and a more time in the cellar help this wine to evolve and mature. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, blueberry, cranberry, prune, raisin, plum, light toast, bell pepper, meaty and chocolate. It tastes like blackberry and blueberry. The body is medium/full. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Medium (+) depth, with ruby to garnet color. Smells like dry spice drawer, anise, graphite with cherry and dry components. Delicious. Nice one. 👌

These are finally ready to drink: fruit's in balance with the acidity. Further cellaring will, however, add more depth.

Oh, yum. Should’ve saved this last bottle for a while longer; pulled it “by mistake”.
But, mostly yum.

Delicious, lacy, and beautifully perfumed for a young Barbaresco. Maybe even some upside.

True Barbaresco, brick colored lots of wood spice and floral nose. Nicely balanced with good acidity. Really nice wine.
