Kjøttfull og typeriktig vin med blod, krydret mørkbær og rasepregete syrahtoner (medisinskap, råpotet, sort oliven). Tett i midten, fin syre også. God vin

Great example of a cote rotie. Drank over the course of two hours, regretted not decanting, as it was really opening up by the end. Needs a 2 hour decant to cut through the tannins.

A very, very different wine from the 2012. Took me aback how different. I can't say it was quite as thrilling, but the 2012 was one of the best young wines I've ever had, so that's a tough bar. This one is all red-toned in its fruit complexion and has some fairly muscular tannin in the foreground. It still has those succulent non-fruit Cote-Rotie flavors like dry-aged beef and something almost pie-crusty, but it took some time to unwind.

Elegant and expressive, though more restrained and cool-tasting when first decanted. The wine at that point was strikingly mineral. A couple of hours later, the wine became more svelte, the smell and taste reminding me of black forest gâteau. Slightly sauvage toward the end of the bottle.

Youngish in palate but nose smells older. Getting some of the briny olive notes along with bluer fruit. Enjoyable and will get better with time
