Herbal nose with prunes and black olives. Medium weight. Decent balance on the finish with sufficient tannic structure. Not at all overly rounded or soft as I was expecting.

Drank with grilled pork tenderloin. A match to truly relish indeed! Prune on the nose with dark berries. Mouth filling with a subtle smooth finish. Malbec and grilled meats are meant for each other!

Vinturied into decant, consumed over several hours. Solid juice, and ready to drink now. Mature fruit slight bricking, but really in a good spot for this wine. Drink now thru 2022.

This wine is a known quantity in a good sense. Enjoyed greatly with a pork meal and continues to overdeliver - drinking in its prime right now. The fruit is rich but balanced, and a reasonably long finish. Excellent QPR!

Plum, ripe cherry and fruits cake hitting the nose, with hints of bell peppers, a healthy dose of acidity and tannin initially upfront, but over time pretty balanced, dark chocolate in the mouth and spicy finish. QPR 88/25. 梅子,成熟的樱桃扑鼻,带有淡淡的甜椒味,最初的酸度和单宁味,但随着时间,口感逐渐平衡,黑巧克力味和辛辣味。

I echo my comments of 9 July 2017. Very good 4-5 hours after opening. Lovely wine. Very good with slow-cooked braised beef. Very soft and attractive next day. Plenty of life ahead. Note. I assume that my bottles labelled 'Seleccion de Familia' are the same as 'Reserva de Familia' in the title here. THe photos above show both labels.

Right from the bottle smells of dark fruit, leather, and alcohol. Dark red color, strong legs, dry on the mouth. Tastes of plum, blackberries, grass notes.
Delicious, with generous tangy blackberry and blackcurrant, hints of tobacco and leather, and well-balanced fine tannins. It is not particularly complex, but still drinks above its modest price point. Worth a bulk purchase (which, fortunately, I made!).

Good, but not as interesting or satisfying as the previous bottle. It presented mixed black fruits, well-integrated mild acids and tannins, and a hint of tobacco, without much complexity. Still, it's a good deal for the price. Very easy to drink. Drink now, as this isn't a wine to age. It would be particularly good for Sangria.

Basic Malbec with nice full fruit and finish. Balance was good but not uniform throughout the mouth. It may develop a bit over the next few years. Fruit seemed a bit monolithic to me.

Vinturied, decanted, this is a sleeper right now, the tail is wagging the dog, still showing good but In 3-5 years this will be stunner. Buy buy buy @ $14- FYI, Anyone rating this 70pts should go back to their Annie green springs.

Complex, with great balance, good flavor. The right touch of oak and vanilla flavor that comes with it, lots of room for development but showing black fruit now, and a great food pairing. Awesome QPR.

Very deep colour. Good fruit on the nose with luxurious 'vanillic' overtones. Excellent rich fruit with a touch of tannins on the late taste when first opened. 6h later, this was gorgeous. Complex, berry fruit with everything at different stages from dark cherries through blackberries to blackcurrants and with plums, damsons and hints of tobacco. Integrated tannins, soft and smooth at this stage but I sense that this has quite a long future. Fragrant, almost floral, and very complex. Great with barbecued sirloin but even better on its own soon after the food. Tannins were more evident later without food but the wine was superb with soft blue cheese. This was bought after a tasting at Grand Union Wine Society with Lee Evans of Condor Wines. Definitely worth a further purchase.

An intense Malbec, chock full of deep berry flavors. The right touch of oak for balance. This wine likely has a good decade or more of smoothing out. An absolute steal at $14 a bottle.

Pop & Pour. Totally shut down right now. This needs time, or a lengthy decant I think. Could barely coax out some fruit after an hour or so of swirling and sipping. Black fruit, some earthiness. Hold for now. Drink 2018+

Purple in the glass, blackcurrant nose. Silky mouth feel with plum notes hiding behind the blackcurrants. thick and long. A huge mouthful at the price. Delicious.

Nice solid Malbec. Well balanced. Good buy at $14. Fruit is solid and tannin is medium and medium length. Don't understand why Decanter rated it 95.
