One hour decant. Opaque dark purple color. Wonderful aromas of blackberries and black cherries, mocha and earthy spice. Full bodied palate is juicy dark berries, cocoa and spice. Fine velvety tannins and light acidity lead to a long finish. Drinking well now.

Pop and pour yesterday. Notes from 24 hrs open. On the nose: blackberry, vanilla...seems simpler than before. On the palate: good acidity. Ok tannin on the finish. Tasty, but this btl seems on the downslope.

Pop and pour. On the nose: clove, cinnamon, muddled strawberry, blackberries and sugar. On the palate: at first, ok acidity, and not so well-delineated flavors; burnt sugar, then acidity picks up, and the palate is clearer: blackberry and blueberry, clove, and then a wall of finely grained tannin..the finish is a little too staccato, but good energy after the wall of tannin fades a bit, and good length. Still, very tasty!

Solid expression of varietals characteristics in Champoux terroir. Currant, blackberry, pomegranate, peppers, graphite, peppers, hints of jalapeno capsaicin, and herbaceous. Young, bold, and assertive. Time should serve it well.

Brownish brick in glass. Nose distinctly into tertiary notes
Palate still shows fresh bramble fruit and acidity but not giving great hopes for long life. Probably into downswing, so drink up
Overall a bit disappointing.
