Nice QPR. For $29 for a quality Napa Cab, it is a good value. Good fruit, soft tannins, definitely could age more, but this is my last of 4 bottles. I would buy again in a good vintage, esp at this price.

Pleasantly surprised since my previous bottle were flat and uninspiring. Held up over two days and had plenty of fruit and life left. Blue fruits with dark and milk chocolate on the finish.

Following a 3 hour decant, this was fabulous. Cherry and blueberry flavors, great depth of body, soft tannins. Drinking well now. At $29 that I paid, a real bargain.

Wow, for $29, this is a great wine! I had this sitting in my cellar for a year and decided to yank a bottle, with no research. After tasting it, I thought it was like a $60 bottle. Great bargain.

The second of four bottles purchased and once again, not that impressed. There is no nose to speak of and it is one dimensional at best. Fruit is there for a moment but fades fast too.

Good QPR. Could age more. Decanted followed by another decant back into the bottle. Definitely made a difference. Clearly softened and sweetened some of the back end tannins that were initially quick astringent.

Super dark color and concentrated. Came off as somewhat overripe initially. Pumped it up and it softened a bit and drank fine the next evening with a grilled steak. I would say that the jury is out on how well this will age. It is a massive Cab if you like that style. (14.8% alc)

Second of two bottles bought in auction lot (about $34@) around 6 months ago. PnP. Nose is deep, rich, cherry-based, like something you'd want to take a big bite out of. Lots of fruit on the palate, ripe cherries, sweet blackberries, plums, currants, maybe a touch of cassis. The fruit is bold and ripe, but not overripe, and complemented by moderate tannins and some acidity. Dark colored, medium to full-bodied, strong, long legs. Probably in its prime drinking window, but should certainly have at least another 5 years if stored properly. Not a lot of secondary tasting notes, but this wine is rich and delicious, a fabulous example of a vibrant but balanced and affordable CA cab. Although this wine has decent acidity, it shines as a standalone drinker. At around $40, really outstanding QPR (this and the BV Tapestry are my favorites in this price range; the St. Clement Napa Valley at $10-15 less is quite decent but 2-3 points lower). I could drink a bottle of this a week. Recommended.

I love this wine! Very easy drinking and classic Napa cabernet with eucalyptus, blackberry, black cherry, and cassis. Smooth tannins, and a long finish with layers and layers of dark cherry.

Almost a year later and the wine really hasn't changed. Needs at least an hour to open up. Fruit is still youthful with a touch of tartness. Nice now but I think it's better in 1-2 years.

Notes of currants and cherry on the nose, complex medium to full body with cherry and spice, silky long finish. Not as good as the 2012, but a great bottle.

Quite the easy drinker here, approachable and ready to roll immediately after uncork. Not sure how age worthy she is but as an everyday + wine, I'm sold.

Great nose and a balanced feel to it all the way thru. Well worth the $30 spot and a good comp to Silverado. To me a half a head above Chappellet Mountain Cuvee.

Rich, tannic, nice deep dark fruit flavor, just a touch smokey
8/19 - wine has matured nicely. It is nuanced, if not overly complex. Some vanilla shows through. Tannins indicate it can go a few more years with no problems. All in all, holding up nicely.

Really enjoyed this. Young dark fruit balanced with earth. This can only get better. My experience with other vintages of the Oroppas is that they are better after 5 years or more. Give this a 2 hour decant if drinking now.

I saw that another person rated this wine 94 pt. I bought a bottle at the bargain price of $25 so I was excited to open this bottle, if I liked it I would buy a case. However, I was disappointed. The wine is just a little above average wine. It has a slight tartness that I don't thing aging will cure.

Fantastic wine. Held its own following a 2013 Dancing Hares Mad Hatter and a 2013 Quilceda Creek Palengat Vineyard. Dinner with the Taylors with grilled New York strips and Amanda's Vidalia onion and roquefort cheese sauce. Fantastic wine; would definitely buy.
