Very pretty color. Very clean and fresh. Strawberries and other berries on the nose. Possibly off-dry, or if not, at least apparent sweetness in the mouth feel.

The reserve is a step up from the normal total wine or bevmo version. The added complexity was appreciated here and with nice rasburry and cherry but not sweet it was a nice bottle. For the extra $15 well worth it.

Strawberry color, with some tart cherry on the tongue and plenty of richness and flavor for a California sparkling. Review and photos here: http://www.thefreewineblog.com/2011/12/my-first-free-wine.html

I'm assuming I've picked the correct bottle from the LONG list of possibilities (the bottle says "Chandon Reserve Pinot Noir Rose North Coast Sparkling Wine). Bought this bottle from Chandon's Wine Club for $24 and did our usual sparkler routine (from the fridge to the freezer where it continued to chill-out for about 10 to 15 minutes). We drank this bottle with a Hungarian bacon, egg, and avacado breakfast sandwhich. This is a fantastic sparkler, thanks to its abundance of Pinot Noir in the blend (81% Pinot Noir, 14% Chardonnay, and 5% Pinot Meunier), where the Pinot brings it's usual complexity and finesse to the party. The color is a beautiful pale salmon with a fresh/fruity nose. Flavor-wise, why would anybody make a sparkler that isn't at least 50% Pinot?!?! This sparkler has a fantastic rich and creamy mouthfeel that comes with the usual fascinating Pinot flavor characteristics (earth, strawberries and cherries, etc.). The depth of flavors is wonderful and complex and the finish is long and lingering. A lot of sparklers have one or two layers of flavors; this bottle has quite a few more. I don't usually find a lot of earth in most sparklers, but probably due to the 86% of Pinots in this bottle, there's much more terrior than usual in this sparkler. For $24, this bottle would be VERY difficult to beat. Next time we're in Napa, we'll be coming home with at least a case of this beauty. Fantastic.

I've never had a sparkling Pinot Noir before but there's nothing about this wine that wowed me over. First off it's a white wine with very dry and smoky flavors. I was hoping for some dirt and cherry cola type of flavors that are so dominant in CA Pinot Noirs but this wine had neither. It has some pears and lemon grass but little else before and after the fizz. Just not my type of juice.

Just amazing! This one was nice and dry but with all sorts of subtle hints of fruit - especially in the finish.

Beautiful reddish salmon color. Aromas of blueberry and raspberry. Well balanced wine with good structure and acidity. Nice yeast on the finish.
