Decanted ~1 hour. This vintage continues to soften the edges. More than 1 year since we last had this. Classic Cab with beautiful fruit, spice and earth. Luscious finish and mild to mid tannins. Very nice bottle of wine.

I took the bottle from the cellar an hour before serving. After opening it we poured it in a carafe to breath. I tasted a little right after opening and caught the distinctive tannins and the plum taste. After an hour the tannins subsided and the plum and berry taste opened up. The color is a deep purple and the nose was big. The taste lingered for awhile. We had it with rib eye steak. My wife said it was good but still prefers our favorite wine, J. Lohr. She’s very loyal, but is pretty right on, although for the price, J. Lohr is way ahead.

100% Napa cab made by Phillipe Melka. 100% French Oak (but not new). This one is surprising. Medium red color with a slight haze. Aromatic with some age. Aromas of oak, blueberry and river stone. Dry with a medium body. Fresh acidity with medium tannins. Good balance. Flavorful with blackberry, licorice, baking spice and red fruits. Medium finish. Very good.

Brasswood - Vintner's Vanguard (Saint Helena): From six different “undisclosed” sites (which screams second or third round pick of fruit – especially given the finished product); this was unmemorable and instantly a wine where everyone said, “Ok, what’s next?” 86-87 points. Pass.

Decanted for a couple of hours. First tasting of the 13 vintage. Always great anticipation with Parallel wines. Still a little young but red fruit, cinnamon, pepper and earth combine to make an enjoyable drinking wine. Will continue to get better with time.

Approachable and ready to drink straight from the bottle. Tannins are there but fairly smooth. Full bodied but not over the top with plenty of ripe fruit backed by vanilla, cassis liqueur, and some spearmint on the finish. The best Parallel I've had.

Still full of flavor and finish. Drinking wonderfully right now but has more years if cellared properly.
