A single malt scotch tasting (Charlie's (In the Wood's of Newbury)): Med in color. The nose has some honey with a light touch of smoke. Very pretty. Drinking is a bit rough. A lot of alcohol but smooths down and has less heat than I was expecting. Lots of flavor. 4.25/5

I like this better than Auchroisk. Definitely higher abv. Smoky. Bits of barrel impart that oaky flavor. Definitely 'raw'. Oils and all. Better than most but not worth over $200. I for for 179$ but even that is a touch rich. Value in my opinion would be 125$. It is extremely small batch though so maybe I'm not accounting for that. Either way, this is not cheap but not ultra either.
