This was terrific tonight. Great lift and energy, very smooth tannins, red berry and long finish. No decant, just opened and an hour of air. Like a great premier cru burgundy. Aubert is a very special winemaker.

Slow O'd for an hour. Followed over two days, with meals. Very full-flavored Pinot Noir, complex and spicy; a little heavy for my taste, but still delicious.

While I reviewed this wine three years ago…I had to share an update with the CellarTracker community. If you can find an Aubert Pinot Noir… buy it. This 2014 UV is outrageously delicious and may be the best Pinot Noir I have tasted in recent memory. Building on my notes from 2019, this wine is concentrated with a cornucopia of raspberry, warm blackberry fruit and black fruit jam. Perfectly balanced with notes of kirsch, hot stone, tea leaf and a gentle soft spice on the finish…this is AMAZING! Sadly, this is my last 2014.

Well balanced with medium acidity. Primary notes of raspberry and cherry. Secondary notes of earth and forest floor. Needs at least an hour to open but we’ll worth the wait.

Initially purely primary on the nose but after 2 hours of air, the tertiary notes joined the party. Smoke, earth, sweet red fruit.
Flavors were intense: sweet red fruit, fig - the mouthfeel on this was almost jelly like - full and without any hint of tannins (speaking on it after the 2 hours of air). Very nice finish that lasted a good 20 seconds.
Was amazing with an array of cheeses, although it would have probably gone well with other food or by itself.

First taste of Aubert and this immediately goes near the top of my all time pinot bottles. Awesome fruit immediately that you just want to let sit on your tongue. Very clean and pure with a great finish. Great stuff.

Similar to the first bottle drunk one year ago. Burgundy color with a bouquet and flavor of raspberry, dark cherries, cola, and Pinot Noir spiciness. Pleasant mouthfeel with very good balance, depth, and nuance. Finish quite long. Another lovely wine from Aubert and matched the Martinelli Pinots drunk at the same time.

Spiced with nice ribbons of raspberries, strawberry with nuances of toffee that has just moved to the soft ball stage. Bigger on the palate than expected.

Explosive strawberry fruit with a finish that goes on and on. This Pinot Noir is concentrated, balanced and delicious. Will be interesting to see how this evolves over time and develops more secondary flavors.

Decanted for an hour. Red ripe fruit up front with layers of red figs, strawberries, mint and cherries. This wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 10 more years.

Traditionally not a fan of pinot, traditionally more of a French Burgundy gal. Was unremarkable upon opening, but blossomed into a well rounded, juicy (but balanced and not at all overpowering) with good body. Would definitely buy again.

A well put together and beautifully crafted pinot. Not a hard edge to be found. Sumptuous nose of strawberries, cherries and crushed flowers. Silky and round on the pallet, with a medium body that builds wonderfully into a long finish. Beautifully dense and pure, it is one of those pinots where you can just taste the superior craftsmanship. Not tremendously concentrated or deep, but not a light weight either. This is very accessible now with an hour or so of air, but I think it will be even better in a couple years.

Still very tightly wound but opens up with time. Muted nose but a palate of brambles and dark berries. A bit hot.

A little tart and “hot” versus ‘12 and ‘13. May need another year or two for the tannins to soften.
