  • A great Sonoma vintage brut enjoyed earlier tonight with the amuse bush part of the tasting menu with Kim at Michael Mina's SeaBlue restaurant at the Borgata. Light, delightful, very effervescent, light gold. Bright floral and citrusy nose with primary flavors of green apples, lemons and red fruit with some harder nuttiness and caramel developing later on the palate. Definitely recommend this.

  • Wow, how a year has really helped this sparkling wine put on some complexity. When taken out of the fridge, it really had nothing but bubbles and mousse on the finish. However, as this sparkling wine warmed up in the flute, it became better and better. Light yellowish hue, lots of apples and lemons on the front palate, toastiness and fruit on the midpalate, leaving a delightful finish of some nuttiness.

I find a lot of CA sparkling wine unexciting but this bottle was definitely a steal at $10.00. I think retail is mid $20's, which might not be worth it, but at $10 at Ralphs and Safeway, a great QPR.

  • Compared to the Vueve Cliqout Demi Sec, this didn't stand out very much. However, it was pleasant to drink. Hints of green apple...typical nice CA sparkling wine. Refreshing. Is this worth the retail price? Probably not, but when you buy this for less than $10 at the local supermarket, it is.

  • A bit of yeast on the aftertaste was off-putting. Other than that bright and crisp.
