Just a wonderful Bordeaux styled wine: concentrated mix of red and black fruits; balanced, well integrated structure; complexity to include evolving secondary and tertiary notes; and a very lengthy and balanced finish. Enjoyed over two days, decanted on day one, and enjoyed with grilled ribeye. Consistent with other prior vintages. Can drink now, but this should continue to develop and drink well for another 5+ years. Excellent.

Popped and poured. Dark crimson color. Nose of mixed red and black fruits with some black cherry, plum, currants along with some vanilla and lightly toasted oak. Still mostly primary with maybe just a bit pencil shaving/graphite coming through. Medium acid and tannin. Very smooth mouthfeel and finish. Slightly sweet, ripe fruit but not overly alcoholic. Nicely balanced. Well made wine and quite tasty but poor QPR.

Despite the high percentage of merlot, the cab came through effortlessly. It's abit on the young side to be drunk now, could be aged for a couple more years.

Popped and poured. Dark crimson color. Nose of smoky peaches and ripe black cherry, a bit of menthol and a little toasty oak. Some secondary tobacco and cedar notes starting to peek through a bit as well. Very nice. Similar flavors on the palate with a nice mix of new world fruit but still somehow drinks slightly old world with good acidity and tannin, not over oaked or over ripened. Maybe just a hint of heat on the finish but that is my only issue. Otherwise, this is really nice juice. I believe its 70% merlot and 30% cab franc.

Dark purple. Dark fruit on the nose (plum and cassis). Medium acid. Not much tannin but rich viscous wine. Bold rich Merlot on the palate. The other flavors that jump out are eucalyptus and anise

Litigators' Wine Dinner (Tung Lok Signatures, Orchard Parade Hotel): Pleasant enough, but still rather tight. This was California x France for sure. The nose had just that touch of sunny sweetness and brush herbs that just spoke of Napa, and then more classical notes of cassis and tobacco. The palate had a modern sleekness to it, with polished tannins and nicely integrated acidity undergirding clean flavours of cassis and a little touch of spice. Deep and harmonious, with Napa power wed to a certain sense of old world nous. Nothing spectacular, but certainly pleasant and well made. Will be better a few years down the road too.

Beautiful dark purple inky color. Plum and blackberry are dominant.
