Recommend at least 30 minute decant. “... it starts with the intoxicating perfume of dried roses, wild berries and the meaty, black mushroom muscle that has made Gevrey a destination for top-tier red wine dating back to Roman occupation.” - Ian Cauble (Master Sommelier) SommSelect

With roast chicken with jus with shiitake and oyster mushrooms, thyme. Garnet translucent. Clean Aromatics are reserved and dark craisin, black tea, smoke, possibly sousbois. Consistent restrained and tight palate. lifting acid, and medium short finish. Tannins were fine grained and reveal themselves during the finish. Seems still too young even with significant air.

My favorite producer. Stylistically more fruit forward (red fruits, raspberry) with muted tertiary flavors (typical Gevrey notes of coffee, mocha, smoke). Good acidity, good balance, A pure joy.

Hmmmm, delicious! Strong fruit on the nose consisting of cherries, raspberries, currents and a hint of strawberries and a hint of soft suede. On the tongue the attack of fruit is solid, consisting of raspberries and currants followed by more earth and some smoke. Definitely at its peak, the wine is silky smooth and gorgeous. Tannins are noticible, but only if you go looking for them.

Funky fresh. Red fruits and horse blanket; reminiscent of raspberry Lambic. Fun to drink.

Joyaux en Côte de Nuits (Marsannay/Gevrey-Chambertin) - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Complexe Sportif Gevrey-Chambertin): Tasting, brief note. Black fruit with earthy notes. firm but accessible in that classic Gevrey style, while easy and accessible already today.
