Still very red around the rim - maybe just a hint of brown sneaking in. Dark red. Camphor wood maybe slightly charred? Vanilla and almost Syrah like pepperiness and ripe plums - a touch of candy floss.
First sip was quite fruity. As it opened up the vanilla and pepper came forward and the spicy notes last a long while.
Not getting earthiness, but leather and wood definitely showing.

Light ruby color. Some forest notes on the nose. Pine? Savory fruit. Spicy. Some black tea. Very expressive. Nice mid palate lift. Still hasn’t reached its peak

We took this into Subterra last night for Christmas Eve Eve Dinner. A beautiful Pinot with notes of damp forest, plum, dark cherry, orange peel, and baking spice. A fantastic experience with the duck casulet and pork belly. I bought it at the winery last summer and would love to buy more.

Decant for 1+ hour; medium legs and purple in color. Some plum and cherry on the nose. Tastes of forest floor, plum and hint of old oak. Amazingly smooth and a sweet, long finish. Loved this Pinot.

Possibly spoiled, as this was dominated by barnyard funk and spritz I sometimes see in biodynamic wines. Still quite fruit-forward underneath the funk, with few tannins left. Not at all oxidized, so not corked.

This is a nice example of Ribbon Ridge; nose with dark cherry, ripe currant, hints of orange peel, lots of spice and hints of oak. The palate shows the classic richness I often find in Ribbon Ridge, but in a very balanced and elegant package with good concentration and a nice finish. Second bottle from this producer and I've been impressed by both so will definitely keep on the radar. This should have plenty of aging potential as well and easily go 5-10 more years.

Quite tight upon opening with muted nose of strawberries, orange peel, and bing cherries. Light and delicate, sweeter than prior vintages. Nice deep raspberries with plenty of acidity. Day two showed much improvement. Aromas really came around as with finish. Last pour was the best, give this a solid decant or wait.

This was pretty young and tight with a strong acidic character. Still, the vintage was apparent with riper than typical fruit on the palate. Great concentration and balance overall. Little nose even after 3hrs air. Best to hold this. Great potential.

Tasting at Brick House (Ribbon Ridge): Winery tasting. From the oldest estate blocks. Palate shows delicious red and black cherry fruit with real elegance and acid structure. More closed in. I suspect this has a couple points of upside.

Cherry and red berry, clean and crisp, not juicy but elegant.

Consistent with previous note. Elegant perfume, lush texture, red berry compote, and floral essences, along with great acids bring this all together.

A hazy ruby. Spice nose shows white pepper and cloves. Very mineraly firm and tight with well integrated but noticeable tannins.

Delicious balance of fruit, earth, and mineral substance. It can age for another decade+. 92-93.
