Admittedly I was concerned that we may have left it a little late to open this bottle. Fortunately however, after almost an hour left to breath, it was fabulous - a perfect match to NZ lamb rack on Christmas Day! The wine looks Violet colored. The legs are Medium. It tastes like and Forest floor. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Short.

aaaah horrors, I have waited to long because this wine was well passed its best, unravelled on the palette with a not so nice vinegar aftertaste. It went down the sink. How disappointing

Medium garnet core, pale cherry rim. Quite pronounced nose, with developed bouquet of ripe black morello cherry, game and plenty of spicy, savoury notes. On the palate, medium + acidity and soft silky tannins giving a lovely mouthfeel. Excellent concentration here as well, with ripe black cherry singing loud, but also savour, spice and definite gamey notes. Plenty of savoury notes on a very good length finish, with nice balancing acidity. This is ageing well, developing some attractive spicy, savoury gaminess and still has excellent concentration. Must have at least another 2 years ahead of it.

Brilliant, clear, garnet color with ruby rim. The powerful nose wafts from the glass with notes of raspberry, rose, cinnamon, powder, and chocolate (specifically Chocolate Tootsie Roll Pop). This primary wine is fruit-packed with raspberry, rose, cinnamon, and hot fudge. Stylistically, it is more similar to California than Burgundy, and there is a purity of fruit that coats the palate. As the wine opened, it developed a distinct Chocolate Tootsie Roll Pop flavor that overcame the fruit. It was a truly hedonistic wine.

This has a pale/medium ruby core with a medium width cherry rim. The nose shows medium + intensity ripe black cherries with vanilla oak and hints of spice. After an hour or so in glass some gamey hints begin to emerge. On the palate the wine has medium + acidity with medium + intense black cherry fruit and soft, velvety tannins. Hints of spice and vanilla on a good length, well balanced finish. A very good Central Otago pinot with trademark attractive black cherry flavours and beginning to develop some complexity. Should hold and may develop more complexity over the next 2 years.

Dark red. Scents of rhubarb and dark berries coupled with a nice dollop of oak. The nose was like that of a young single vineyard Guigal. Delicious sweet taste with a thick core of fruit, and a taste like liquid vanilla ice cream. Probably a hard wine to pair with food, but a singularly hedonistic pleasure to drink now. Not a wine for keeping but pleasure right now. 94 points

Pale/medium ruby, narrow pale ruby rim. Medium intense aroma, still quite youthful, dominated by cherries and raspberries. On the palate, dry with medium + acidity. Medium bodied with very soft, silky tannins, well concentrated ripe raspberry and black cherry fruit, long finish. Very nice indeed, drink now and over next 2-3 years.

Pinot Noir Tasting (Meo Camuzet, Flowers, Hansel, Cristom...) (Zoot Restaurant): Really raisiny nose and palate. Could have been an off-bottle, but I suspect this is just not my style of wine.

Nice simple Pinot. A harsher finish than I had anticipated. Had this at a Spanish restaurant Ibiza in Houston. Not bad for a sunny afternoon.
