Bought from winery about 2 years ago (abt $55). Opened for about an hour before first glass, with 1 oz on opening. Medium nose of tart crancherry, dry earth and mild baking spice. Consistent on the palate with notes of blood orange, tomato, raisin, cherry, raspberry, and just a hint of oak. Medium ruby, light to medium bodied, light to medium legs. Light to moderate tannins, laser beam acidity, light to moderate persistence. On night 2, the acidity integrated more, although to me, it was quite pleasant even when bold on night 1. Fresh, racy, immaculately structured and balanced, relatively low abv and food friendly, this wine is a wonderful combination of old and new world pinot styles from a really good, consistent, and excellent qpr chard and pinot producer. This is my highest score for a pinot on CT. While this wine is not cheap, this score, for this cab and Italian wine drinker for this single vineyard pinot at this price--an average to below average price for non-vineyard designate Napa cabs--should be viewed as a smashing success. Faded a bit on night 3, so I'd recommend drinking in the next few years. 93-94

If you enjoy New World Pinots, this is the real deal (and without the subterfuge of any Syrah add-on). Paired great with salmon, black rice, mushrooms (trumpet + shiitake), and a home made teriyaki sauce. 13.5% ABV. 92+

Very spice-filled on taste, probably getting to the latter half of its window. Maybe another 2-3 years ahead.

Popped and poured with dinner. Good acidity. Nicely balanced. A good food wine. Wish I had more.
