From 75cl, perfect cork, so tight I broke glass chips off the bottle neck trying to extract it with a lever corkscrew before resorting to my ah-so. P+P, very delicate herbal/wild flower aromatics; slender, delicate entry; low acidity and highly buffered GV typicity. Short finish. Nice enough served with coq au (GV) vin, but was probably better 2 years ago. Drink up. 87–88P

From 75cl, perfect cork. Best immediately after opening and at cellar temperature, one hour later at fridge temperature this low-acid softie had lost its vivacity, which it didn't regain as it warmed up again. Kreutles is often said to be the fastest maturing of Knoll's outstanding GV sites; and I have generally enjoyed Wachau Federspiel wines most on release. Even so, given the longevity of Knoll's Smaragd GVs, this was a disappointment. Drink up this winter? 88-89P

You can’t go wrong with Knoll. Easy drinking, nice acidity and minerality. Austria as you want it.

Pear, flowers, exotic fruit, minerals, and peach on the nose. Medium+ acidity with citrus, unripe apricot, and orange peel on the palate. Good finish.
