Opened, decanted to remove sediment, and immediately served. A seductive combination of red and black cherry with dense spice and mixed floral on the nose. Red and black cherry on the palate too. More giving right away than expected and the tannins have pretty much integrated here. Fruit forward and an almost plush texture, but with just enough backbone and freshness to carry it. Moderate plus finish.

2005 Burgundy blinds on Jason's roof: Blind 6 of 9. Starts out with a nice enough nose and then OAK (that capitalized word was my written not). Not just vanilla, but harsh bitter oak on the finish that only got worse. With vigorous swirling the nose showed lots of oak too. An unpleasant wine and easily my least favorite of the night.

Very pure chambolle, red fruits, a bit of spice. Though on the riper / more extracted side. Slightly candied / hot. I often struggle with the Meo-Camuzet style, but this is definitely tasty, though not my prefered style.

(Brief note) The nose was stunning with its zesty, pure woodland berry fruits and florals. It was soft, fresh and lively on the palate, with lifted red fruits and resonating floral tones. The finish was medium in length, lending a twang of energizing acidity which gave it's red berry fruits a last minute boost of freshness.

Drunk with perfectly roasted chicken. Not showing its age with a vibrant med ruby colour, watery rims. Tight nose at first developing later red fruits and leather aromas. On the palate tertiary aromas come into play and add complexity to the wonderful texture of med- tannins. Long long finish. Really good, could be greater given more time. These 05s are going to last a long long time.

Barrel sample tasted at the domaine. Malo finished. More concentration and sweet fruit than the '05 Marsannay and Fixin 1er Cru Clos du Chapitre tasted beforehand. Dark fruit. Sappy, pure black cherry fruit. Looks to be an impressive wine.

More floral and feminine. Lots of sweet fruit on the nose. Super pretty and bold. Palate is beautiful and pure.
