Probably just past it’s drinking window, but just barely. Still very enjoyable just lacking a little of the punch you would expect on the finish. Not as herbal as some Cab Franc. Drink now. Decanted because it had a fair amount of sediment

Lots of life left in this wine. Rich fruit on the nose with soft tannins on the palate. Distinct black cassis and blackberry aromas. Very fun and enjoyable wine.

Medium bodied with a equally matched finish, this is a slight touch softer than at release. Lots of sediment on the cork and neck. Pride's Cab Franc is one of my favorite wines, but I don't feel it gets better with time. It's great at release given a little time in the glass, and a few years later it's still delicious, but it's not better, at least for me. I see no reason not to drink it now.

- Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of cherry, vanilla and cedar. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry, black currant and blackberry with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - Decanted four hours. The wine lost its edge and gained its body over the time. The cedar nose is slight pencil shavings. Loved this wine; served with pork chops with root beer sauce, thank you chef Emeril Lagasse, a perfect match!
Slight sediment thrown, I think another 7-10 years in cellar.
Spicy fresh herb on the nose and tongue. The higher alcohol content shows in the legs and on the tongue. It has a secondary fruit note of unsweetened dark fruit (black cherry, black currant). It is not a ripe, fresh or dried fruit note, but is definitely present. This wine will soften with age, but it may not get better.

Great wine. Still needs some time to open up but when it does it's really good. Flavors of cherry with a long finish. The nose isn't great at first but it opens quite nice. Still needs time but this could be outstanding 2-5 years

Very enjoyable bottle. Lots of sediment, so careful pouring was necessary. Opened up quickly in the glass, was very expressive on the nose, and juicy on the palate. Tannins have softened so much, they're smooth and delicate now, but don't have much left for aging. If I had any more of these, I'd definitely drink them within the six months to a year.

This is a beautiful full bodied wine, a bit of spice on the nose soft tannins with a long finish. The few number of bottles allocated makes this a very special ocasion wine for me.

Absolutely fantastic. Had at Tra Vigne St Helena from their wine list (a very reasonable $105). Big structure, complex, long finish. Subtle spicy notes but quite refined. Paired with short ribs and was a real crowd pleaser. Going to try to find this at the winery to buy more.

I have always been a fan of Pride's version of Cab Franc. This is no exception. While I loved all of Foley's winemaking here, the transition has been pretty seamless. Sounds like to raw product must be pretty good.

Dark purple and solid, but not as lively as I'd hoped. Chewy tannins and a lot of sediment.

Might be at or slightly beyond its peak. Drink now. Still nice round flavors, but not a lot on the finish finish

Delicious, but a bit rustic. Not smooth may need some more time.

Very good, lots of sediment - maybe better to drink earlier instead of storing much longer?

Supple, very nice color, hints of blueberry, strong pepper and spice over tones. More pronounced than most east coast Cabernet francs usually tasted

California Wine Country with Jill for our 30th's; 9/9/2012-9/15/2012 (California): Taste at the winery. Barrel Sample from within the caves drawn before our eyes.
Exotic blueberries, baking spices. Touch of herbs. Elegant and supple. Blue flowers.
Restrained and drinkable. Really really clean. Delicious.
