Just starting to pick up some color. Interesting nose of flint and lime blossom. This might be SLIGHTLY reduced. Zingy, but full palate with quite a bit of weight. This isn't quite as expressive at this stage as the Mosel Kabinett, but there is more weight and stuffing. Lime blossom and mountain river stones on the palate. While quite good now, I think this may benefit from a few more years in the cellar. Drink 2023-2027+ 90+ Note: a bit of copper did seem to brighten the nose a little!

Nose leads with lime with white & yellow tart orchard-fruit, tart-apricot & grapefruit. Palate has semi-electric fruit/acid interplay, & great balance. Tart-apricot, lime & grapefruit. Likely Spatlese sweetness, but drinks like a true Kabinett with its high, ripe acidity. Drinking very, very young; had to double-check the label to see this wasn't a '17. Another Schlossberg Beauty (92+)

Really tight and grippy acid on the initial attack but it opens to the lime citrus slate noted by other tasters. This was my 4th of a case, need to stash some for the longer term.

Fantastic nose, just loaded with slate and lime zest! Fantastically bright and piquant on the palate with plenty of salinity and slate. Perfectly balanced by the modest sugar level. Delicious now but will age well. 91

-- cracked and poured -- -- tasted non-blind on Day 1 and Day 6 --
NOSE: initially tight, giving light aromas of pear and apple. Only moderately expressive by Day 6.
BODY: medium bodied; pale yellow color; no spritz.
TASTE: high acidity; powdery; floral; 9.5% alc. not noticeable; proper Kab. weight. Day 6: still high acid; light mineral; I like this, but prefer a Carl Loewen Kab. I recently had. This is very good, but is a bit too middle-of-the-road for me.

Very good. Pale gold color. Oak on the nose. Very dry mouthfeel. Not sweet (as it should be with kabinett or so I thought).

Forgot to record this bottle, so no tasting note. But it was excellent: racy, focused, buy more.

Selbach-Oster quick impressions: Apple and pear in spades; palate is simultaneously rich red apple and very light. Amazing wine.
