Purple with just the slightest hint of brown. Watery edges. Jumpy nose full of prickly brier, mint and gunflint. Deeper comes the big berries, damsons... Palate disappoints. Good weight. Still tannic but fruit is fading. Nice long finish. Would have scored higher if palate had not aged so asymmetrically and better weighted. Drink up. Maybe another 6 months to go. Would i buy again? Yes but I would drink a year earlier.
