Excellent with cumin lamb at Little Pepper. The bottle at first seemed like it might be tipping over to its downslope, but during the course of the meal it improved. At first I almost thought it had a slight fizz, but it quite got to the fizz stage, maybe a little mineral buzz. Very much enjoyed it, in any case. It held up well to the assertive spicing of the food.

Solid Cab Franc with nods to the Loire. Bright and round brambly fruits with notes of pepper and graphite. Slightly more on the savoury spectrum, it lacks depth in the mid-palate and doesn't show the texture or minerality to make up for it. Still delivers what you expect and really a very versatile wine.

Very well made wine. A little spritz on entry but very refined Cab Franc character. Needs a few minutes in the glass to open up. Great with pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Again, another great Cab Franc from a quality producer in the Finger Lakes. The Ravines is good too.

Good color. The nose shows aromas of ripe berries, minerals, earth and a hint of flowers. This is barely medium bodied on the palate with good concentration but a slight lack of class. The medium length finish features slightly rustic tannins.

Expressive and attractive blackberry, cocoa, rhubarb and bell pepper. Brisk and penetrating. Long finish. A hidden gem.

Drinking lovely right now, just a touch softer than it was, stone fruit, good mouth feel. Great with food

Honeymoon in the Finger Lakes; 10/17/2016-10/20/2016 (FLX, New York, USA): Tasted at the winery. Driven by dried cherries, smoked meat, and green bell pepper. Great Cab Franc profile. Drying med(+) acid and tannin will give this some longevity. "Very good," 87/100.
