Golden tan color. Honeyed marzipan on the delicious nose. Lemon zest with honey and unbelieveably zinging acidic energy. Fantastic, towering structure. Perhaps the best white Burgundy I’ve ever had.

From magnum. Surprisingly good weight here, enough to balance the slightest beginnings of oxidation. Richer fruit, spice notes on the nose, and overall more weight and power than the MP.

Jonathan Dinh Birthday Dinner at Fleur de Lys (Fleur de Lys, San Francisco, CA): Light golden yellow color; smoky, dried beef, sauvage, Northern Rhone red nose, that changes over 20 minutes or so to more of a smoky, truffle popcorn, toasty oak nose; smoky, tart lemon, mineral, earthy palate with depth, a little chewy, and too much smoky oak for me; medium-plus finish

With MPL at Singer & Foy tasting of ’88 Coche-Dury. Light straw color. Tremendous nose. Hard to believe the complexity and richness of this nose. Gorgeous to behold. Wow! On the palate, , it is just TOO good, with a smashing flavor; goes on and on. Unctuous, rich. Hard to believe it is so good. I love this stuff. 5-14-19-9: 97/100.
