Very good Sonnenuhr with richness to go with the slate fruit and enough acidity to balance the sugar, not always the case with 2005s. Cellared since original release.

I’d mark this wine as a bit simple sweet, but that’s made up for the great sense of being resolved that the wine carries. It’s got a good nose, a better length, and a better still mouth. Yum.

Mid gold. Minerally, wet stone, wet slate, with some honey, a touch of petrol (but only the slightest touch), and some fresh apricot fruit. Very good attack. Some sweetness immediately evident, which carries through to the finish where it starts to fade, but it's all nicely balanced. Very pleasant drinking, but not exceptional.

Pure golden color. Showing its age, but in a good way. Still moderate petrol nose with great traditional spatlese palate. Maybe starting to show its age on the palate with less acidity and more sweetness. If I had more, I'd probably try to consume over the next year.

A beautiful deep golden green. The nose is pronounced and almost fully developed with lime zest, petrol, baked green apple, honey and wet slate. Semi-sweet on the palate, with well integrated sweetness, good density of extract, mellow yet fresh acidity and a mineral finish. Yummy! Finally ready to drink, at its plateau right now and probably the rest of this decade. So easy to down this bottle in one go. Had side by side with Graacher Himmelreich.

Ethereal, with petrol, flowers, and white fruit aromas playing off each other. Sweet, but never cloying, apple, pear, peach, lemon with good acidity driving the finish and keeping the flavors alive for a long while.

AP Nr 2 576 162 11 06 8% Mid gold, with a greenish tinge. Big, minerally nose. Petrol, wet paving stones and crushed dried kaffir lime leaves with slight hints of peach, musk and cabbage (the latter presumably the residue of sulphur). Very attractive palate. Nicely integrated, maturing riesling. Good fruit and nice length. Very pleasant drinking. But the acidity is surprisingly low, which gives it a bit of a flabby feel

Very drinkable. Not complex but nice floral nose with floral and island fruit flavors. Well-balanced acidity and hint of sweetness. Clean and crisp. Excellent with food.

Quite pleasant. A little less complex than I expected. Light petrol on the nose, but little else. Acidity and sweetness were pretty well balanced on the palate.

Nice bottle. Balanced, with good acidity and slight sweetness. Decent nose; good length. Tastes of yellow fruit and pineapple, with some rocky bass notes. Excellent value for $18!

Wine Professional (RAI, Amsterdam, NL): Liquorous fruit, acidity needs time to integrate, lovely minerality, rich and elegant, almost Auslese weight, great future.

Sweet apple, hint of lime, lovely balance ending with fresh acidity. A great match with Roquefort.

Some spritz, pale gold; hessian, cress, wet stone; rather sweet, soft acidity, easy going; decent finish & length. Best drunk soon.

Decent but ponderous nose; distinctly sweet, obvious, pedestrian, soft - low acidity. Lacks the expected panache. Is this going through a dumb phase?

s Zindoctor noted, very drinkable not complex. Sweet more than floral, falling short on the acidity to back it up and make it really interesting.
