A good example of Amarone. Carries its 16% alcohol reasonably gracefully. Highly extracted but not overpowering nor overly sweet as some Amarones can be-Overall things are in balance. Tannins are fading. Would drink soon.

Displays minor bricking with a ruby core and garnet on the edges. Raisins, prunes, chocolate covered raspberries, baking spices and unresolved oak. Oak is still very prevalent and overwhelms the red fruits, tannin and acidity. The pizza definitely made this more palatable, but the oak adversely creates some imbalance. Drink now, unlikely to improve with further cellaring. Future pass.

Not an expert on Valpolicella, but I really enjoyed this one. It is what I always wished a Pinot Noir would taste like, Light, comples and wanting another sip.

A quick sniff showed lots of alcohol but it was hidden in the taste profile. Raisin and Plum were predominant with other fruits hiding behind. Nice smooth middle and finish.

The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, raspberry and red currant. It tastes like cherry and plum. Very enjoyable even for friends who have narrow tastes.

Aromas of strawberry, chocolate - raspberry, and soil/mushrooms. Taste of cherries, raspberries, and mocha. Soft tannins, but sufficient to allow expansion of the medium body to carry length. Superb.

Comme il faut Amarone with rich raisiny nose and unctuous mouthfeel. Maybe a little bit oxidized? Not particularly profound but enjoyable on a chilly night.

I’d recommend popping this one several hours before you drink, or aerating, as it is still wound pretty tightly. Remarkably better once it gets some air. High alcohol, bold, raisiny quality, as you might expect. Not terrible QPR at $31.

This is wonderful for the price. Has that nice, concentrated raisin-y flavor of an amarone. This is like a really well-refined petite sirah. Have 3 more and I'm looking forward to all of them.

Delicious after a 2 hour decant. Plums, raisins and tobacco with a wonderful smooth finish. I wish I had a couple more of these.

Ready to drink - a nice blend of dried red fruit and earth. A little pepper to it but only a hint. A slight bit of site at the finish

Really nice and balanced on the palate but the nose is MIA...Completely mute, even after 30min decant. Going through a dumb phase?

Nicely matured. Notes of raisin, dark fruit and tobacco. Enjoyed with Lasagna - great when paired with food

Strong notes of chocolate, raspberry, raising, yeast. Well balanced overall, slightly, just ever so slightly, heavy tannins.
