A first class wine from Argentina, one of the world’s most underrated wine regions. Full bodied with a lingering aftertaste, wonderfully integrated flavors and at a perfect drinking stage. An extraordinary value.

This has fallen off from prior experience, perhaps just bottle variation, and know we enjoyed previous one more....but it also may be on a downward slide at this point. Ok w/BBQ, but NR as a result of ambiguity.

My last of these. Excellent, especially for the price. There is some of the firmness I expect from a Malbec but this was also so inviting with racy blue fruit. Showing great at this stage.

Dark, clean "European" style with medium body unlike many "bigger" overseas wines. Lacks complexity. I doubt if this will benefit from further aging...

Unbalanced, very sharp, acidic, the charcoal and tobacco elements cover up the fruit which is nice black cherry but mostly this is a mess. Medium body, no finish, this doesn't work on its own it needs big steak and cheeseburgers to hide its flaws.

Solid offering, 1.5 hr decant opened it up...dark purple and opaque, not as complex as expected from other reviews but plenty of creamy black raspberry and cherry-berry fruit, subtle spices, pepper and a touch of balsamic to keep things interesting. Slight mocha finish after dinner. Paired well with simple grilled london broil and cauli/goat cheese mash.

Very dark color, with bright red edge. Can not see through even with just a mouthful amount in the glass. Pleasant and complex smells with components from the fruit side, oak, little earthy and beacon. Full body. Taste with red fruit upfront follow by bitterness and a bit salty, maybe A little bit of black fruit sweetness at the end. It's very interesting that it turns into more dark fruit when serve with BBQ country rib. Nice pairing! Firm tannin and medium to long finish. Best served slight chilled with half an hour decant. From the first Latin America winemaker who received 100 points from Parker, this wine do represent a good value.
80% Malbec, 20% Syrah. 15% alc

The quality of this was pretty amazing. This is energetic, rich, has a firmness that I tend to find with Malbec's but this firmness is not overdone. This is sleek, with backbone and delicious fruit and a hint of dryness. Super impressive for the price. 94+pts

A nose of muted dark fruits and some spices, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied red blend, with black cherry, plum, licorice and spice on finish, maybe needed a longer decant. www.winelx.com

PNP after previous coravin. Deep purple. Highly extracted, big, new world. Sweet tobacco, vanilla, dark fruits. Had a creaminess that reminded me of the 2009 cuvulier. Nice wine although not really my style.

A bit hard and rigid right out of the bottle, plenty of blue fruit. The last glass was particularly delicious though - soft and creamy almost. This wine may really need a few more years to show what it has.

Similar to previous notes but a bit firmer than I remember. This may need more time to soften a bit more. I do like it a lot though - a nice style, and one that goes great with a good steak - the firmness and bit of dryness work in this regard.

I was pleasantly surprised by this. I generally find Argentinian Malbec to be too firm for me, but this was more supple and inviting and had a slightly creamy tone which I loved - the Syrah added to the blend is likely responsible for the added charm. This is pretty serious stuff and has plenty of charm.

Better now than 1-2 years ago. Pretty good value. Still tannins, acidity, fruit and body.

Big fruit forward Malbec (a bit more fruity than firm/dry). Should drink near term as still has lot of fruit but not much tannins left.

Very solid go-to wine. Has the firm malbec profile but a bit of sweet creaminess as well. Well done.

Quite expressive, with a nice creamy frame, some firmness but not as much as many Malbecs I come across from Argentina, which is good.

Rich malbec Syrah blend. This is a big fruit powered wine. I really enjoyed this one.
An hour decant let it open quite a bit. Not sure I agree with holding off on this for much longer.
