Lovely nose. Was initially concerned at full extent of cork showing seepage but it didn't create an issue. Always prefer blends and this funky concoction was pleasing. One left, and it will last at least another year. TBA.

Initially there was concern of being corked. Cork was infused to half length over about 15% of the circumference. Fortunately, this dissipated and the character was evident. Dry acidity and mostly tannin, I suppose from the Petite Sirah. A reported even blend of Zin, PS and Carignane offers much but is limited in its delivery. Good tannins and some decent fruit but the fruit and limited acidity dissipate quickly to result in a long tannic focus. This wine could bear more aging but it's quality of bottling likely would not support extended cellaring.

An interesting Zin blend, with a pleasant nose, fine tannins, slight earthiness and peppery spice mid-length finish. Opened up nicely after an hour or so...

Seghesio is so reliable and this offering doesn't disappoint. Big, dark berries, great nice, rich, and silky drinking. Great mix of zin, petite syrah and carignane. Totally enjoyed.

Very nice wine - well balanced and did not need very long to open. Inky color, medium-long finish. I think this would still keep for a couple more years.

Decanted over 2 hours. It been about 1 1/2 years since I last tasted this and remember it for its dark fruit and full body. I had read other tasting notes and picked this because it was thought be very big and needed some "big" meat to go with it. On the nose, a touch of earthiness but not overwhelming. Very balanced fruit with hints of pepper and spice. Not quite what I was expecting or wanting but a very good bottle of wine. Paired with a big T-bone but it certainly didn't overwhelm, maybe under-performed a bit.

A big bold wine. Surprised at the earthy aroma; didn't expect this from a zin blend. Paired OK with sirloin, but this wine needs a big food, perhaps a meat pasta or game. Was OK, but was a little disappointed that it was a bigger wine than I anticipated. Will match with a different food next time.

I sipped out of this bottle over a week keeping an aerator spout on it. I finished the last glassfuls left with friends and was amazed by how much better it got sine I first opened it. very pleasing moderated bodied wine and finishes mildly. was very enticing to keep drinking this wine.

Started the night with this one. Nice dark color out of the bottle and good blend, although the Cab came to the forefront. Enjoyed the balance of intense red fruit and black pepper.

Deep garnet color. Blueberry & fresh violets on the nose. Plum, blueberry & raspberry flavors with dusty tannins and a long finish with a bit of peppery spice.

This wine paired nicely with teriyaki flank steak. I didn't care for it initially out of the bottle, but decanting it took off some of the heat. Nice long finish, and very enjoyable over dinner. Still, I would not enjoy it without a good pairing; it's a bit too hot and peppery for me to drink standalone. I hope that some more time helps mellow this out a bit more to better match my taste.

Nose: Nice mix of blackberry and blueberry with a clean minerality, mixed spices, and some heat. Palate: Black fruit with spice, a bit angular, chalky tannins. Very spicy finish. Exceptional blend.

After reading all of these glowing reviews, I must have received a bad bottle. I opened it about 3 weeks ago and found it virtually undrinkable. Thin and sour. I let it sit for two extras days tasting it on each and found it the same way.

Absolutely delicious, the best wine I've had from my cellar. So glad I bought more from the winery before the sticker price went to $48! Ah, the joys of being a Seghesio Wine Club member! Unbelievably vibrant, well integrated fruit, and the tannins are strong enough to pull it all together into a mouthwatering finish. Awesome.

Nose of dark berry, spice, a little tar. Full mouth of bold fruit, excellent balance, the right tannins. Very satisfying finish. Drank great and will be worth seeing develop.

Additional aging has removed some of the heat it had earlier. Nice, dry wine that pairs well with tomato-based pasta.
