  • Pnp, bright ruby in a big glass. Blue and red fruits aroma with stemmy nose resembling that of Dugat Py's which is adorable. Concentrated on palate, but there is not a single hint of fattness, strikingly balance of sweet fruits and acid, tannin is surprisingly fine. Bright red fruits brought into an elevated finish which is lingering, long live ahead but pretty approachable now.

  • A beautifully balanced Pinot, with earthy black and red cherry, black and red currant, bark, and hints of citrus. A bit of funk skirts the periphery, but only with a subtlety that elevates the core fruit without distracting the overall delivery. Purity is solid, with a clean and focused execution. Mid-palate is medium-bodied, with a slightly lithe finish. Shows hints of Grand Cru quality, but certainly comes off less intense and concentrated than some of its 1er Cru counterparts. Nevertheless, equilibrium is most notable here, with an exquisite seamlessness that fans across the palate in a marked sophistication that highlights finesse. Likely best to hold for another 2-3+ years. 93-94+ points for now.

  • Tasting Gevrey Chambertin 2015 in Burgundy (Roi Chambertin, Gevrey Chambertin): Love the tension on this grand cru, which is tightly wound, but you find the richness of the vintage, as well. Fresher and brighter on the finish than many of the other grands crus. Really nice job!
