Delicious, loads of blue fruits and slight floral notes on the nose, full bodied on the palate. Tannins are fully softened but agree w most tasters this is pretty stable for another 3-5 years if well cellared.

Enjoyed my last bottle of 2015. Medium all the way around. Actually enjoyed the wine more after it was open for about 4 hours. Slightly more complex with a little time. The wine will be good for 5+ years more. Tried the 2nd half of the bottle on night 2. The wine was weaker all the way around.

This is in a nice place. Still has loads of fruit but it's softened a bit. And there's some nice savory qualities (tobacco) that compliment the plummy fruit. I'm sure this has many years to live but I don't think it'll be more enjoyable than it is now, at least not to my palate.

A bit of a 2015 Washington “right bank” tasting between the Betz Clos de Betz and Kevin White Heritage. Both double decanted. The short of it: The Betz is the better wine, but the Kevin White is more approachable and by far the better QPR.

From magnum. PnP. I like this a little more than "Hiker" and "Cab". They nailed the flavor profile and it showed really well against a handful of other wines the nights I had it. Silky. Crowd pleaser. Stock up. It might have enough structure to go to '29 but I think it's drinking really well now, so I'd be on it sooner.

Nose of black cherry, blue berry, smoke, and allspice, same on the palate, big body, tasty, mouth filling and rich fruit, opened slowly but consistently, needs 2 years to peak drinking opportunity, with a medium/long finish.

Merlot with some Cab and PV. The cab and PV showed up rather prominently. Not in a bad way. The rich Merlot fruit was very well framed with the other 2 grapes. Needs 5-10 years minimum to soften.

very good, easy drinker with red fruit and minimal tannins - made for early consumption - mild spice on the finish

Always a huge fan of all Betz wines. My notes from last night recall a desire for more strength and depth but not quite available yet at this time.

Overdone for my palate. Not enough tannin to keep up with the extracted fruit and alcohol.

Drinking very well right now after a couple hour decant. Medium-full bodied, smooth, balanced multi-faceted wine.
