Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • The nose is charmingly dusty with vibrant red cherry fruit, a hint of blackcurrant, dried herbs, some Christmas spice and a bit of mocca. On the palate it is medium-bodied with markedly juicy, savory red fruit, grippy, grainy tannins and uplifting acidity. It is quite elegantly proportioned without a lot of weight. The French oak is present to some extent but it doesn’t take over. It is a properly dry wine with a relatively bitter character, i.e. very Tuscan. Finishes in a terrific lip-smacking fashion.
