Tasted over two days. Very good presence on the first day, good concentration, better than bistro quality. The wine had added a little weight and energy on the second day. This should be enjoyed in the near term, by 2020 or so. 88-89.
P.S. Opened this the day after opening the same vintage Chateau de France (Pessac-Leognan) and Senejac, which provided solid basis for analysis of all three wines. The Chateau de France was the best, hands down, and it was not close.

Decanted an hour. On the nose damp cedar box, burnt spices, generous helpings of dark currant fruit and plums, tiniest hint of sweet light chocolate. Palate brings in additional minerals, charcoal, red fruit, smoke, tobacco, quite savory. The finish had admirable length at this price range ($18 USD) but a little hotter than the fruit can take -- drinkable today but perhaps better in a couple years.
Presents a nice value. Furthers the view 2014 is a notable vintage for the Pessac-Leognan area.
*edit: Day 2 showed improvement, just needs some air to take the heat out. Fruit started to shine a bit more.
Very good-.

Medium+ bodied. A lot of flavor and long finish, but a bit green.
