  • Tasted blind. Deep ruby red in appearance and youthful. Tight and wound up on the nose with some meatiness, cinnamon, blueberries and black cherries. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and medium plus bodied. Balanced acidity with some savory notes on the attack of the palate. Followed up by blueberries, baking spices and a touch of earthiness. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2028.

  • Last red wine tasted at Warwick Wine Estate and from their sister winery, Vilafonte. Series C is their Cabernet led bottling compared to Series M which is either led by Malbec or Merlot. This vintage is made up of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 10% Malbec and 6% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 22 months in 70% new French oak barrels.

Deep and dark ruby red. Rich and dark nose coated in sweet spices and minerality. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Excellent structure on the palate with dark and rich flavors of dark berries, cocoa and gravel. Long and lingering finish. Always a favorite. Drink till 2035. (93+)
