Medium intensity ruby color. Medium/lighter nose intensity showing a floral bouquet with cherry, raspberry and cabbage. Medium body with medium acidity and low tannins and cherry and flowers on the palate. Medium finish.

Central Otago Pinot Noir Expo (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street): One of the stand out wines of the afternoon, the funky and rich nose has barnyard, dried herbs and spices. The palette is a luscious blend of cherry and chocolate with perfectly integrated oak and rich silky tannins. The acid backbone provides a great mouthfeel and the lingering finish is memorable.

Fruit seems well harnessed and a touch murky on the nose, although a dark cheery component is attractive. Bitter and a touch sour early to taste; this is clearly young and as a consequence shy. Oak is layered a touch heavy over the fruit. Time will tell.
