so delicious right now. strawberry, flowers, and citrus.
(I'm feeling validated in having trusted my palate and having bought a decent amount of 2015's versus loading up on the justly hyped 2016's which will require serious time)

Medium body, Transparent cherry colour with brick rims. Intense red fruits and flowers aroma on first attack, with aeration complements by spices background and cedar notes. Predominantly garden strawberry palate following by slightly earthy but juicy finish of good length. Complex and elegant, silky and easy drinking, well balanced, berries’ acidity and muscular but completely integrated tannins. Food friendly, well pairing to vegetables stew with porcini. Serve 17ºC - 20ºC. Open one hour ahead. Drink now and the next six/seven years.

Nice and very good to drink now. It has a very calm character, ruby colour, aroma of flower and violet, liquorice. Lighter than expected but nice finishing.

Drank 2.5 to 3 hours after decanting. The color is a medium garnet. The nose has mushrooms and cranberries with some herbal notes. The palate has forest floor, ripe cherries, hints of mineral, smoke, and an odd vegetal tang. Perhaps this wine has been badly stored at some point. The acid is medium- with integrated tannins that present on the finish. Body is medium with a medium finish. Alcohol 13.5%.

Drank an hour after decanting. Medium brick in color with orange highlights at the edges. The nose has cherries, cranberries, and hints of oak and menthol. Cranberry flavors predominate. Medium+ acid with medium tannins. Well balanced. Long, slightly tannic finish. A bit tightly wound. Will be better with a few more years in the cellar (I’d set drinkability at 2023-2030). Alcohol 13.5%.

Tldr: still young, rather astringent from the bottle. 3-hour decant, still needed time, started coming into form after 4 hours. Nose is outstanding, palate follows but takes a while to get there. Would recommend letting it rest for a few more years. Color: med ruby Nose: very polished; floral, violet; dark purple fruit, christmas cranberry; soft oak and just enough alcohol heat rounds everything. Palate: fruit and floral on the front, strawberry, pomegranate, tart cherry, rose; tar, smoke; nice structure, but not overly complex. pointed tannins. 5+ second finish. Body: med Acid: high Alcohol: 13.5% 90+

Very earthy and somewhat bitter on first opening. Nose opened up over time to earth and violets. The palate is tart with high acid. Not a ton of complexity, kind of one note. Finish of bitter chocolate. Seems a little young and surprisingly light for a Barbaresco.

Drank 1.5 hours after opening. The color is ruby with a slight orange tinge at the edge. The nose has cherries and chalk. The palate has a hint of sweetness, cherries, and cranberries. Low acid, medium+ tannins, medium body. Not much complexity, and a bit out-of-balance. 2013 was better. This needs more time to lose the sweetness and balance the tannins.

This is indeed elegant, Volnay like, red fruited savory beauty with abundant raspberry, strawberry, pine cone, bittner herb notes. The downside is a slightly thin and coarse palate, with shortish finish. This is a village wine after all. Drinks beautifully right now with food.

My first impression was not of the usual Barbaresco. More like a Burgundy. Wonderful perfumes on the nose. Very thin and elegant wine. Beautifully balanced. Vanilla, and light spices. Lady like tannins that give a hint for longevity.
It's not what I was expecting. And I must say I'm pleasantly surprised at such balanced elegance.

Now delicious and open on pnp.
pretty pale ruby with orange at the rim. picking up citrus throughout, tbh.
rich strawberries, cranberry, orange blossom, and a wee bit of anise cough syrup adding savory complexity throughout.
great acid. very fruit forward, floral and elegant.
maybe a touch too alcoholic for its light body.

Light bodied with good depth. Drinking well and should hold at this level nicely.

Delicate nose, mostly smoky cedar. Fairly light, nice spice on the palate. Might have needed more time to open up.

Light red in colour, but not as light as expected.
Rich nose with sour cherrys, licorice and raspberry caramel; herbs and maybe a touch of mushrooms.
On the palate the wine was fruity (red fruit; cherry, raspberry) with soft tannins and good acidity and length! Very good!

Indigena World Tour Day 2 Morning: The Langhe (Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria, NYC): Bright strawberry nose. Sweet vanilla and light red fruit in the mouth. Quaffable, but not a lot of character. May need more time, but hard to think of this as Barbaresco at this stage.
