This was unfortunately not in a great place initially; the oak was playing too much of a role and knocking down the Chambolle fruit and elegance; with about 90 minutes of air, the oak starts to dissipate and the fruit and mineral tones begin to show more. The palate has good depth and balance and I think once the oak disappears this will be really quite lovely, but I'd probably wait 4-5 years for it at this point.

This has that beautiful 2015 cashmere tannin with its youthful, ruby fruit vibrancy still there but in the twilight stage, and the toasty oak taking over the foreground. I probably got to it a little too late to enjoy it as a young wine and obviously way too early to enjoy it as anything else.

Burgund smaking med Vinmonopolet . 898 NOK Rubinrød, klar. Lukt: Neglelakk (luftes bort), lukket, mandel, lite eik. Smak: Rund sødmefull, svak frukt, ok syre, middels tanniner, ubalansert. Svak og lang ettersmak. Godt mulig att denne vil åpne seg etter noen år
