Deep ruby red in color. Youthful dark berry aromas along with asian spices, violets and touch of soil. A very dense and silky palate shows sweet dark berry compote, minerals, good acidity to keep the wine energetic and some fine grain tannins on the long finish. This is young and has a long life ahead of it. Was great with food.

My second experience with this wine. Exotic red cherry mixed with turbinado sugar and Red Hots candy. This is clearly a wine of class and structure but it's currently tight and dry on the palate. Still the richness comes through but give this time. When all said and done, this will be a 97 point wine. Right now, more like a 93-94.

Big nose; dark Pommard fruit. Reserved and tannic, but not inappropriately so. I'm not sure it's destined for an elegant future as most Epenots are, but I could well be wrong. This should evolve well.
