Properly cellared, well evolved since last 5.5 years ago. The fort Ross fruit is coming right through now. Lemon curd, a little apple and pineapple all meshing. Drink or hold a few more years.

Medium deep yellow gold , really nice nose of stone fruit, pineapple, spice - nice mid-bodied palate has loads of flavour, but finishes a bit hot. That detracts quite a bit from what is otherwise a very fine wine.

I was expecting something a touch more interesting here from this acclaimed producer. Displays a nice medium bright yellow color and good texture that heavy use of oak will generally impart on the wine. The nose has some very typical elements of butter, honey even a little stewed peach followed by a strong oaky finish that pleasantly lingers a good 15 to 20 seconds. Nonetheless, I'd say this is an example where in an attwmpt to make the wine more palatable, the winemaker has actually dulled some of the potential. Not a bad wine at all - just not an elite one. I'm sure their single Vineyard productions offer something a little more interesting and site-specific.

With charged electrical green notes on the nose. 8 miles up a dirt road. Clean and bright on the palate as well. Fresh.

I enjoyed this. Orange oil and smoked muzz. Horizontal mouthfeel.
