Aging nicely, classic Pinot red fruits of strawberry, minor floral notes, hints of vanilla, good legs and within is prime drinking window. Not the most complex Selyem you will drink but a good nightly drinker.

In a really nice place. Great combo of freshness acidity and fruit wo too much sweetness or the “cola” profile I sometimes get w RRV Pinots. Paired well w grilled chicken thighs and purple rice. Will be interested to see where this is in 2-3,years

Gifted last month......enjoyed this evening while binge watching Longmire. I've never understood the attraction of this label. Like it's the Holy Grail of Cali Pinot. Obviously with its recent purchase by the Burgundians it must be? Right? But I find myself proclaiming....."the Emperor has no clothes!" This wine pales in comparison to any of the many Sojourn offerings in any given year. It's nose has some perfume, yes. That's nice. I give you that. Pure, raw, cherry in the mouth...it's well made, I give you that. Better after 1 hour in the glass and moving to room temp of 74 degrees. There is precision in the wine and wonderful acidity. I tried hard to give this a 90 but I think my CT brotherhood have graded it very fairly at 92 on avg. Still....Sojourn at 1/4 th the price is the better deal.
Decanted 1/2 hour, Root beer, dark red fruits, all with a soft finish. Cousin Pudge seemed to enjoy this offering more than I did as I thought seemed a little off for a WS wine.

Decanted >1 hour. Paired with some lovely grilled thick loin chops. Fresh and ripe red fruit on the nose. Strawberry, raspberry and cherry. Hints of root beer hard candy. Very fruit forward. Same berries in the mouth. Tannins are very mellow. Long lasting finish. Might be the best bottle of a WS Pinot I have had. Absolutely delicious.

PnP, shared with family over pizza. Aromatically a little closed but some faint luxardo cherry comes through. The palate however, is wide awake, bursting with tart cherry and raspberry fruit, with lots of savory, herbal notes like basil leaf, sage, and oregano. Medium minus body but good intensity and acidity on the palate.

Only got to drink on day 2. Powerful nose of red berries, plum, leather, some earth. Big bodied, and still had nice structure after 24 hours. Long, juicy finish.

Pale purple color with slow legs. More open than the 2014. Aromas of cedar, raspberry and toast. Sour cherry, cinnamon dominate the mid palate with hints of orange peel on the long finish.

I agree with the preceding notes, I drank this early to see what was happening with it. I would describe it as delicate, gentle mouthfeel, medium finish, with nice red fruits and floral flavors. I feel like it will gain some complexity as it ages, but that is purely conjecture. I'm a WS novice, so I haven't had much experience gain perspective with their wines yet.

Opened a tad early but wanted to see how this guy was starting out.
PNP but let stand in the glass for a while. Medium purple with decent clarity.
Nose of candied cherry and some oak spices. The palate was similar with that candied red cherry and light oak. Medium - in body and an easy drinker at this stage. Nothing overly complex on this guy and not expecting to become complex.
An enjoyable CA Pinot.

ABV 13.9; mixed berry, plenty of cedar, herbs rather than roses; black tea on the finish; Lots of stuffing, though still coming together
