Medium straw color, ripe nose with toasty Malo and Oak. In the mouth grapefruit, butter, Tostee malo and significant , oak. This wine is almost over done but pulls it off with good acid and overall balance. Likely a crowd pleaser for many.

Slightly more enjoyable on this occasion. Still a very concentrated golden yellow with prominent oak. A buttery creamy texture with a little hint of buttered popcorn that I often detect in white Burgundys. Rich and luscious full round mouthfeel. Delicious.

Clear burgundian influence with cali grapes, heavy batonage, creamy/nutty, smoky flavors with lemon, creme brulee Pretty heavy oak regime but it's fairly well integraded. Touch over the top for my taste, but I get it.

Don't often use "creamy" to describe wine, but now I know what wine writers mean when they use this adjective. The Morlet is delicious, a complex Chardonnay with peaches, apples, nectarines, and hints of vanilla and minerality. It is full bodied, well balanced, and has a long smooth finish.

great balance and smooth to drink. More weight than a typical California chard but what you would expect from the Frenchman Morlet - Perfection. nice lingering finishing that stays on the palate.

This rich and energetic Chardonnay is drinking beautifully right now, with only good things to come. Light yellow in color (with a little haze that clears up after a little time in the decanter); full in body; welcoming nose of lemon rind, brioche, almond, and ocean air. Warm, explosive tastes of golden delicious apple, orange marmalade, vanilla bean, and crushed rock. The finish is creamy - and wonderful - with a charming balance of sweet fruit, sour acidity, and nutty aftertaste. 14.4% alcohol. Decant at least an hour, since - as with most Morlet wines - warmth and air improve them.
I've been enjoying Morlet's Chardonnays for a long time, but this is the most impressive young wine I've ever had. The one comparison that comes to mind is Aubert, who similarly makes rich and layered Chardonnays that have just enough freshness (read: acidity) to make the wines not only intense but graceful. This should be better in another 6-12 months, but it is wonderful now. 95+, with upside.

Super concentrated, rich oaky buttery CA Chardonnay. A bit heavy on the oak for my palate but very good for a CA Chardonnay.

Decanted 2 hours, as usual Luc Morlet has produced a outstanding classy chardonnay. Rich and creamy, with a long finish. Very nice, 93 for now.
