Notes of black, cherry, and tobacco on the nose and palate with a wonderful finish. A very well balanced wine. Paired very nicely with ribeye steak. 4.25 Stars.

Decanted and immediately began drinking. Intense black currant, espresso and au jus. Probably the most intense flavor profile I’ve ever experienced in wine though it smoothed out with time. Full bodied with a finish the just kept going. Has years left and will probably improve over time.

Decanted for three hours prior to drinking and I'm glad I did. This one deserves special treatment. Deep ruby in the glass. Nose of dark fruit with some herb. Taste of raspberry and herbs. Tannins and oak are not overpowering. No heat from the alcohol. Medium legs. Tasting party thought this was spectacular. While great now, this wine has several years left in bottle to mature fully.

Had this at the winery, and it was fantastic. Opened this bottle, and it was a little off. I was kinda disappointed. I have one more, so lets see what happens

5 hr decant. Eastern Oakville everywhere, right in my wheelhouse— but something is missing. I don’t want to use the term hollow, but, at the moment, this lacks the richness I find in other hillside Eastern Oakville wines. Black crimson in color with the edges on slightly lighter. No oak or tannins in the way. Slight herbal sage, dried underbrush component, black cherry, red cherry, raspberry, black raspberry, lovely liquer notes along the way (without being hot or alcoholic), slight perfume floral nose with a hint of burnt embers. Hit the front part of the palate raising expectations but little on the mid palate and a short finish. I still think this has better years ahead...and frankly many years ahead. 93 for now. I struggled between opening a ‘15 and the ‘13. I guess wrong.

The wine is signature top tier Napa cab in body, nose, and flavor profile. A six hour decant, one glass left over and consumed on day two was even better! It is drinking great today, but I believe there is plenty life left to hold on to these for possibly another ten years. Served with grilled beef, but tannins well integrated and balanced so it would have been great on its own as well. cheers!

Excellent. Improvement over last bottle. Still needs some air but more ready to drink earlier now. Smooth dark fruit.

Needs an hour or two of air to open up properly. Big dark fruit. No hurry on these.
