This wine is ready. Nose light sweet cherry, floral and just right. Taste is full body, light sweetness, with big red fruit. Tannins are balanced and smooth drying on the mouth. Finish medium and balanced

The sweet spot for CA Pinot Noir. The wine has a brilliantly balanced fruit profile of dark cherry and pomegranate with a forest/underbrush element. It has a thick mouthfeel to it that is a bit dry for a PN and leaves a coating on the tongue for a long finish. Of the cluster of premium wineries in the Sebastopol area, we always manage to visit the tasting room of Merry Edwards and leave with a hefty haul.

Medium dark color. Decanted two hours. Very feminine expression of PinotNoir which is quite lovely. Lots of layers of flavors dancing on your palate. Long finish and just a wonderful wine. Merry Edwards Pinots rarely disappoint.

Merry Edwards winery tasting. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of savoury earth, ripe dark red cherries, brown stem. Developing. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol (14.5%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of black cola, ripe dark red cherries, black cherries, savoury earth. Long finish. Very good quality. Strong Russian River cola feel. Ripe and lush. 2 yearsmore of development should be good.

Medium nose shows black cherry, violets, blue tones, fresh earth, fresh herbs. Palate gives nice layered presentation of bing cherry, black cherry, white pepper, crushed violets, a mineral sense like wet rock, field greens in there. Light tannins and medium plus alcohol back it up. Tasty stuff, probably shows more complexity in a few years.

Very ready to drink. Wonderful body and dark fruit elements. A darker pinot than most and that is to our liking. ME never disappoints.

Beautiful wine. Powerful and viscous, enough acid to cut through but no out of place edges. Soft tannins. Rich fruit, cherry and red/blue fruit.
Held up to steak with blue cheese sauce and duck, but worked with asparagus soup and ceviche starters too.
