Brièvement Couleur rouge bismark assez dense, atypique pour un PN. Nez et saveurs de framboise cuite. Sucrosité perceptible. Très international. Ne s'est pas bien conservé,une fois ouverte.

Medium red, good acidity, slight floral nose, excellent sweetness with good flavours of dark fruit primarily cherry, good length. There is a slight smokiness on the back of the palate. Tannins are moderate. This wine has aged well. Second day this wine showed no signs of diminishing flavours or freshness. Wow ...a pleasure to drink and a well made wine. Very Burgundian in style. Bought from the wineries cellar. This is a good example for anyone wanting to age Quails Gate pinots.

Purchased in WA state at a closeout price of $15. Well worth it--needs some aeration to loosen up, but good body with beet, black cherry, celery seed and parsley which perfectly depict a rich vintage in a cool climate. I'm going back for more.

A Pinot noir that works for me. Deep and surprisingly rich. Judicial use of barrel ageing. Great sipping and work with a huge rage of food. From salmon or tuna to r-bone off the grill. Definitely will purchase again.

Harsh, dirty and funky... too much alcohol... not at all my style.

Reading others’ notes, I wonder if it have a bad bottle. Bitter, acidic and missing fruit. Blah. Will try again tomorrow.
Day 2: improved but dull. Missing flavour. Bitter. NR

Dark; somewhat fleshy (not surprising given the vintage). Beetroot and celery. Spice.

Digeste et minérale, un peu mince mais assez fruité tout de même, bien.

Earthy and rooty with a whiff of Brett iodine. Dry and savoury with leathery, beet-root flavours and a gently bitter finish.
3/5
