This was good at a tasting so we purchased a few bottles. Opened in Aug 2019 this bottle had so much matchstick/suphur character that I found it undrinkable and poured it out.

After being disappointed with the first bottle I opened a second and was disappointed again. So I opened a third bottle and was once again disappointed. There is a distinct sulfur aroma and a taste of burnt caramel to this wine that makes it unpalatable. There is an underlying decent structure of minerality and good acidity but not enough to overcome the sulfur odor. The wine may have been cooked on it's way to the US.

Did a blind tasting of 9 white Burgundies (3 Chablis, 3 Beaune, 3 Macon) and this was the only one with a over-powering sulfur stink. The underlying wine was pretty good, but it was hard to break thru the sulfur. Even an hour-and-a-half later, it was still prominent.
Otherwise: ripe yellow, golden delicious apple; hints of nutmeg, fresh shaved wild mushrooms that still had soil on them; damp forest floor, lively finish of sweet, ripe lemons.

Pronounced sulfuric / gunflint / heavy bearing grease aromas oppress any detectable Chardonnay aromas in this wine. When tasted, the wine has a crisp acidic attack with understated fruit density.

Excellent village wine Some hint of sulphur but class so evident and oak well balanced Hardly cheap but wonderful white Burg Can't wait for the premier crus

Everything that people say is true. And for those of us who appreciate something weird this is wonderful. A favourite wine indeed

Sulphuric even stronger and slower to burn off
I thought the underlying fruit was excellent and good acid but sulphuric really intrusive. For Sue it's just too much
