One of the more expensive Chardonnays I've purchased. At Costco for just under $20. Liked the crispness of this wine. Not the traditional California butter-vanilla bomb.
Yellow with just a touch of green. Tree fruit -citrus and white peach, some melon in there. Nice acidity. Finish a little creamy (positive) and just the barest hint of oak.
Overall a really nice wine.

This is a classic California Chardonnay and I am guilty of liking a classic CA Chardonnay. It is creamy with notes of pear and peach. It has some notes of butter but not in an overwhelming way.

At Epicurean Palette (Grounds for Sculpture's Outdoor Tasting Event): I didn't dislike this wine as much as Gina did (who could hardly wait to dump this wine and replace it with the admittedly finer Reserve Chardonnay 2013 Napa). Actually, I thought it was a perfectly ok California chardonnay -- albeit perhaps in a too-commercial style. Notes of butter, oak, vanilla, peach, and pear. No doubt magnificent with a grilled lobster (which I did not have) -- or with seafood in a cream sauce. There is a place for these wines -- although not in our home.
$23 retail.
23% new oak as well.

Had been open a day. Thin nose of buttery lemon sourdough toast. Sweet creamy palate with a lemonhead finish. 86-88. Would be fine with cheese or salads.

Nice smooth CA Chard. Not too much oak but vanilla harmlessly blends with fruit

Little fruit in the nose and too much oak flavor dominates this wine for my taste.
