Deep, inky. Complex bouquet, sweet cherry, blackberry. Cedar, spice, clove. Nice tannins but still need to soften. Acidity high but good. Good finish. Needs another couple of years yet but I’m happy drinking this now. Quite impressed with this wine

This is a late night Vala wine with friends. Nice and pleasurable. Nothing special fruit was still very ripe obviously because of the 2016 but still an enjoyable wine.

This is still a young Bordeaux, a little monolithic, perhaps a bit closed, but with plenty of good tannic structure and deep black fruit. Blackberry, graphite, toasty oak. Powerful. Typical. I loved it.

By the glass. The proverbial Bordolese austerity is transformed into opulence and exuberance. Notes of ripe fruit flood your nostrils while density, persistence and unfortunately alcoholic thrust prevail in your taste buds. Prices accordingly. Truly my nose and palate need a rest to get out of this tasting fatigue in which they seem destined to remain. Apparently and for more inri, there is still another final flight to finish this trip by 2016 second row B'dx.

Dense and tight with a wall of tannins enclosing a core of black fruits with a touch of earthy charcoal. Interesting spice on the finish, it's hard to tell where this will go, but it's certainly a solid claret.

Spicy cassis with rich textures and cushy, polished, sumptuous tannins, this one gives you floral notes and curvy, salaciously juicy fruits with a hint of licorice in the finish. The wine was produced from 46% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot.

Quite nice. Typical bordeaux - not a classic, but all the expected taste, aromas. Very nice! Could get more!

The 16 Le Crock has a beautiful, clearly articulated cassis and blueberry nose with gentle mineral and toffee notes. Quite tasty!
