  • Nicely aged. Vegetal and savoury nose, full-bodied dark Cassis and fleshy palate.

  • The bottle was in perfect condition: The filling-level was into the neck; the cork was only half soaked. The wine was medium garnet in colour and had a nice nose of black currant, vegetal notes, cauliflower, a hint of bell pepper, tobacco leaf and mild balsamic notes. On the palate, the wine showed dark fruit, blackberry, black currant, dried dark cherry, prune, vegetal notes, broccoli, cauliflower, some bell pepper, tobacco, spices, liquorice and mild balsamic notes, with lively acidity, fully resolved tannin and very good length. The stony finish spoke of the wine’s provenance. This medium- to full-bodied Bordeaux has aged nicely; it was balanced and smooth, with good complexity and concentration. In a great place! Drink now.
