Deep and complex notes of saw dust, black cherry and red cherry, mulberry, cedar, tobacco and licorice, lavender (I could go on forever). Amazing concentration. Somewhat polished tannins and integrated acidity. Perfect now after 1-2 hours of decanting but will continue to develop over the coming decade. Not the cheapest Brunello but worth every penny. Will buy again.
In perfect harmonious balance, this Brunello is drinking beautifully right now. Enticing savory herbal notes (sage, coriander, and lavender) combine with orange peel, saddle leather and tobacco underlying a rich core of red fruits and plum.

I was totally disappointed. Opened the bottle two hours before dinner. Put the cork back in and went to a local byob. The nose was really nice with aromas of tobacco leather and berries. The palate was just okay with dark cherry, tobacco and leather - into the finish which tasted like i can only imagine burnt rubber. When tasted with food the finish softened up and was palatable but it without food it was nasty.

This wine has really gotten better w some bottle age, I wish this wasn't my last one. Spice box, fig, plum, cherry pie on the nose. Sweet cherries, raspberry, crisp acidity w fine tannins and a medium finish

An amazing finish with incredible balance. My first Brunello and it certainly set a high bar. I drank this bottle over a month ago and my mouth still waters when i think about it

Tart and spicy up front fruit profile of strawberries, black cherries, and plums. Firm core of tobacco, leather, cured meat, red licorice, and some orange zest. Nice acidity and tannin structure with a beautiful savory finish.

beautiful brunello! nose of dark dried cherries, lavendar, tabacco, carmel and tanned leather. the wine is bone dry with moderate acidity, light body and medium tannins that are still quite astringent and mildly bitter. There also some savory notes and some oak and buttery bread yeast on the finish as well. overall very complex and enjoyable. I think it may need up to five more years of cellaring but is wonderful now.

I really enjoyed this reasonably priced Brunello. I have tasted more expensive Brunellos that were not as good as this one. Very nice finish but was light and gone with not much tannin left on the pallet. A little bit of cherry, espresso, oregano, aged balsamic, and leather. Some say fig, but I didn't get that. This Sangiovese was nice and was perfect to open for Thanksgiving.

Darker profiled sangiovese fruit, some strawberry preserves, noticeable alcohol on the nose. Plump and fruit driven, with enough acidity to keep it from completely falling over its flab. Fat, simple, and lacking depth or focus. Drinkable, and not much more.

Definitely needs to be decanted. Be patient with this one. This was a bit harsh at first. Decanted 1.5 hours before pouring and still had a bit of the initial harshness. But at around 2-2.5 hours it seemed to undergo some sort of transformation. Just beautiful after that.

This could use more time... but I wanted to try it anyway. Decanted for 1 hour. Smells like jam & rose... very smooth, incredible finish. Best purchase I have ever made from Last Bottle... with the possible exception of the 2009 Bennett Lane Reserve (which was the same $45 price)

James Suckling - Great Wines of Italy III - 2018 (The Presidio, SF): Fleshy. Dark plum. Ripe. A bit of coin polish. Heavy. Medium minus ruby - quite dark color for Brunello.
