A rich and full bodied CA chard. Grilled Pineapple leads the flavor and aroma profile, with some peach, citrus, and good minerality and integrated oak to balance the ripe fruit flavors.

Light yellow, significant floral nose with underlying peach/pear fruit, creamy on palate, medium weight, smooth medium length finish. the wine was very enjoyable during the first two hours and started losing its fruitiness afterwards and became more monolithic. Better to drink these up sooner than later.

This terse and creamy Chardonnay is drinking well right now, though I had hoped for a little more energy and depth. Yellow in color; full in body; nose of pear, quince, brioche, and almond. Flavors of gooseberry, vanillin, golden delicious apple, and marzipan, with a tense and round finish. (Shay Aldriedge completely nailed the "lemon creamy" aspect of the wine.) I have a soft spot for Kistler's McCrea - one of the first good Chardonnays I ever tasted - but the 2016 isn't its most exciting incarnation - good, but not great. 14.1% alcohol. Drink in next year or so.
Optimal drinking window. Stone fruit, flowers and minerals. Palate is refreshing but slightly clipped short. A little pricey to lack longevity. Very nice though. Drink now.

Nice...flavors of minerality, slight lime and (I agree) some guava. This wine can easily go another 2 - 4 years. Enjoyed with some cheese and then with a chicken based soup.

This is one of the better young Kistlers I’ve had. In fact, there was a lot of similarities between this and some of Aubert’s Chardonnays (which are my favorite), in that there was a distinct lemon cream note all over this wine. Soft yet powerful, there was savory sea salt and marzipan notes aromatically. On the palate, it was almost glycerin like with ripe tropical fruits (pineapple, guava) and some white peach skin. Honey roasted cashews too. I thought it may be too acidic before I opened due to age, but this was drinking really well. Long finish.

Bay Area Wine Tour; 1/11/2019-1/15/2019 (Bay Area, CA): Ripe, touch of banana toluene on nose, pineapple, passionfruit, and American Smarties. Palate also has acid core, with more Smarties and powdery on finish. Quite clean finish.

Golden in color. Peach, pears, apple and a moderate amount of oak and vanilla. Enjoyable. Finishing with some citrus notes on the lingering finish

One of the more balanced Kistlers, not as flamboyant as the Hudson or as mineral driven as the Trenton or Stone Flat.
I was going to review it but I ran out of it before I ever got around to it so this is from memory.

Opened after a busy week. Chilled and poured.
A little lighter and less golden than other Kistler we have had.
On the nose, a little bit of that classic buttery oak but soothed by plenty of grapefruit, powdered candy, pineapple, slate mineral.
On palate, grapefruit and slate really come out. Beautifully balanced, not heavy at all. Long, long finish.
Another great wine from Kistler. What else can you say? Score is also what we rated it when we tasted at the domaine.

Tastes of apple, apricot, grapefruit. Satin texture with a long, great finish. Kistler never disappoints.
