Most likely on the downside of its life. As I've had this wine across various vintages and time periods, I know what I should get on the nose and palate and both were just a little flat and muted. Lemon, honeysuckle and tropical fruit; slightly waxy mouthfeel; little bit of acid; still enjoyable just not what it once was; drink closer to cool/room temp rather than cold.

Rhone varietals at Cooking School (Loretta Paganini School of Cooking): Light gold in color. The nose is smoky, waxy with lemons and slight tropical fruits. Really fresh two years from vintage. On the palate, this is crisp with a slight apple and honey note. Dry. Nice finish. This seemed to be pretty popular at the table and made for a great start.

Stunning last night. Lemon yellow in color. Honey comb jumping out of the glass. Peaches, apricots, honeysuckle, and some jasmine. Very precise and fresh with great acidity cleaning everything up. No flabbiness that we get from some other white rhone blends. Bravo!

Second time trying this wine and loved it again. Just a gorgeous showing for this young 50/50 blend of Maranne and Rousanne. Lots of fruit with depth. No bitterness. Slightly waxy. Delicious. Looking forward to trying the 14's.

Really opened up beautifully with some air and warming a bit. Coming to room temp allowed for more tropical fruit to show. Crisp green apple on the nose with bright minerality. Strikingly composed and balanced.

A bunch of wines with Friends at NVW&C (Napa Valley Wine & Cigar): Macario hits this one out of the park. This is outstanding. The nose is really complex. Floral qualities mix with tropical fruits and then also a waxy note. On the palate, this is a big white wine and full of fruit but in no way is it overpowering. Great slippery/oily texture and acidity counterbalance the fruit. No bitterness that sometimes shows up in white Rhones. This is delicious as a cocktail but works with food too. I think it is $28 and well worth the money. No idea how well it ages, white Rhone varietals are so hard to judge and I have little experience from CA on these. This is a 50/50 blend of Marsanne and Rousanne.

Chilled for about an hour in the fridge, then opened and explored over a few hours. Beautiful wine. Lovely round, rich notes that you'd expect from marsanne and roussanne, but there's great acidity and balance here too. Stone fruit, beeswax, honey, white flowers, and orange pith all work well together. Will probably keep for several more years too.

Open 24 hours. Nice mix of bold tropical fruits and acid driven fruits like lemon and lime. Great scents of marmalade with a nice oily texture on the palate.

Great blend. Nice floral, pear, lychee and oily notes on the nose. The texture of this wine is wonderful. Great lemon zesty characters lead to a waxy long finish.

Wow, five years since my first bottle? Still drinking well though I don’t see this aging further, notes unchanged.

Very impressed - this has excellent balance and restraint that is sometimes hard to find in the Rhone valley with these varietals. Would seek again!

Very nice, but a bit subdued. Probably on it’s decline, but still very enjoyable.
Nose: waxy citrus, pretty light on the nose but gave more as it approached room temp
Palate: underripe apricot, guava, touch of oxidation (honeysuckle, nuttiness, etc.)
Medium acidity. Medium body.

Not bad, with some lemony and woody flavors, and medium body; but like most California white Rhones, it could use a bit more acid.

Impressive, as always, with its lemon curd, green apple, and mineral vein. Such a striking wine. Looking forward to the new vintage.

Great balance for this blend. Normally Marsanne/Rousanne can get a bit flabby but this is super precise.
