Light Syrah inflected nose with herbal red fruited olive tapenade. Palate a bit soft on intensity, still showing a bit of tannin. Tasty but lacking in depth.

Smoked meat, olives, brine, super stemmy and aggressive with sharp buzzing acidity. There's some blackberry fruit behind it but still absolutely requires time.

A lovely CdR. Smoke, black olives, herbs. Bright acidity keeps this very lively and fresh. More pleasing to drink at this stage than the St. Julien en St. Alban, which shows a more plump profile and is darker. This wine also doesn't have the overtly stemmy character of the SJSA (though I think both wines are whole cluster fermented). Delicious.

I really enjoyed this bottle as I wasn’t sure going in what to expect as it was my first Texier. I found incredible fruit purity and even density on the front palate. Even though it’s packed with flavor you better be ready for the acidity as it comes hard and fast. It may not be balanced in that sense but the lift and brightness is stimulating to the palate and mind. A glass at a time might be enough but I loved it and am off to try more.

Fairly dark red. Nice meaty, plum and black pepper nose. Dry berry and earth flavours and a nice fuzzy berry finish.

Plums, hint of dirty diaper, palate is dry and elegant.
